1950'S WIM RIETVELD OASE CHAIR FOR AHREND DE CIRKEL
The Oase chair was designed in the Netherlands by Wim Rietveld for Ahrend de Cirkel in 1958. Rietveld received the "Signe d'Or" for the design of the chair in 1959.
The frame structure is made of brown lacquered steel, the armrests are made of black bakelite. The chair is in good vintage condition with just two small chips to the underside of the armrests (see photos). The red fabric has no tears or holes.
