HARRY BERTOIA DINING CHAIRS, SET OF 4

Regular price Sale

Designed in the early 1950's by Italian born sculptor Harry Bertoia, the Bertoia dining chair Chair is a study of space, form, and function. Innovative, comfortable and strikingly handsome, the chair's delicate appearance belies its strength and durability. In Bertoia's own words, "If you look at these chairs, they are mainly made of air, like sculpture. Space passes right through them." A classic, modern design that enhances any environment, Bertoia's side chair remains a fascinating study in bent metal and a fixture of mid-century.

These dining chairs were produced by Knoll circa 60's/70s. The chairs come with the original yellow leatherette seat pads.

Structurally sound with no defects to the metal rods. Some light rust markings to the frame and some surface rust to the screws. One chair has chrome deterioration to the seat and a patch on the back (see last two photos) this is mainly covered by the seat pad and is reflected on the price.
